Margins should be higher on in-play betting, but it depends on a number of factors: What settings are you using. Whats the average EV (expected value) - who are they using as a benchmark (aggregating doesnt work because most are buying in Sportsradar odds - and they are useless) Which leagues (stronger liquidity leagues hold up better) are you playing Betburger works well for in-play! CURE Set your EV higher - that will take the sting out of variance Test the service against Betburger or something similiar Track the betfair market (if liquid)

Spot- on: I mentioned that part in the video, and i could share a hundred stories of people going wrong and not learning from the experience! If you have the numbers - automation would be good. However, you will need to circumvent the Sports books detectors, and program into ''liquidity-markets'' (unless you have a massive account supply). On a positive - it's just mindset! Once you see progress the light-switch moment will be evident! Good luck

Failing to understand the value concept is the biggest issue for most losing punters. They are easily sold on the favourite, falsely believing the jockey wins races! I will just leave it on ''you need the right mindset'', and blaming others for your losses isn't a good starting point!

Why should it have won - was beaten ''fair & square'' and anyone betting a 10/11 shot in such a race needs to start thinking if betting is a good idea!

I think it's crystal clear! - The value is the place part of the bet being significantly higher than true odds (Betfair etc). I wouldn't judge stakes - some are betting £1, while others are betting £100,000 (on football - wouldn't get it down on racing). Everyone should play to their pocket, experience, success and so on! No need to lay when you have value - because its giving value back.

Surely you can understand it's a numbers game? It's the simplest form of benchmarking market price!

@@martinesr7198 Pinnacle/Betfair (with liquidity) guides the average value bettor well! By playing the mass game, with proper bankroll management - all good! All our betting is in Asia/Exchanges - and we are happy to bet against the Pinnacle line. However, that's because we are originators, which is a different game.

Yes, the variance will test everyone's patience, but it can go the other way - in that you start fantastic and then hit a rough patch! You could always play with your settings - move the minimum EV higher. If you are in for the long-term and convinced that the system is pumping out value - it should all come good!

Thanks Sergio! While it will take time and effort, social networks are important for all the reasons mentioned. The one-man band will have limitations, so building for the future is my advice! I would be more worried about the talkers than the scammers - people with no follow-through! The secret to Networking is getting into a position of power - once you can call the shots, the quality of your network will improve!

In the US for example, most of the betting is through the track (Totalisator - commission-based pool betting). If the answer is yes and you have good access - You should be able to get higher margins out of Racing. Your challenge going forward will be getting new accounts to cover those that will be limited if you are winning - Plan ahead. What about betting other sports in-play. You might need a couple more monitors, but now you have a feel for the game it's something you can leverage!.

Thanks, Martyn! Racing is like that, the good thing is it doesn't take many winners to turn it around. I've been lucky in that department that most of my big bets won, and betting on French races is a big positive! As for football, I know what you mean. While our last two months have been fair, we are relying on the Euros 2024 for something special. The biggest issue for us with football is liquidity, while you can bet big on EPL, it's about a tenth of that for Scandinavian leagues! The magic word in this video is variance, and we can't do anything about it! Put the blinkers on - and only look forward!

@@BettingAnalyst Will do, mate. Appreciate the advice. At least you've had better luck with your French racing bets. I've heard you say before that French racing is easier to predict. I've also heard the opposite about Ireland. Variance, indeed. Just frustrating to put the time in and then see everything turn out opposite to the form. Haha!

@@martyn8116 I believe French racing, is simply more honest. Prize money/race opportunity (loads of claimers)/PMU (less skullduggery), betting against the average Joe. You should take a look at it - all races are shown live/free on Equidia (need VPN from UK). You can also watch all replays on same! While Geny.com isn't the prettiest of sites, you can see the ratings, get each runners history. Click on trainer to see current form. While UK bookies have improved a bit - you have the option to hit the UK Tote which bets straight into the PMU, or take UK fixed odds (squeeze the juice further). You can benchmark by using Pferdewetten.de (Festkurs) - albeit they are as lazy as F... and late with pricing markets. Good luck

What you say can be interpreted 2-ways: 1. It won't win (6/1 Exchanges with 100% book = 1 will win in 7) 2. You are losing juice on the win odds (true - but not in proportion to the place odds) True Place odds (100% Exchange book) 4/9 = 69.4% Place odds received (book) - Evens (50%) True odds win 6/1 = 14.29% Odds received 5/1 = 16.67% Giving back a point - 6/1 (Exchanges) instead of having to take 5/1 - but getting ''evens'' a place on a 4/9 (exchange) odds is getting a major advantage! I could do the maths to the end - but even a blind person should be able to see the ''theft'' part!

@@wizardracing2810 - In the UK/Ireland - bookies offer fixed odds. Place terms are generally 1/5th the odds - 3 places for 8+ runners. As mentioned in the opening comment: 5/1 = 1/1 place (evens). The true odds on that horse being placed on the betting exchanges (100% book - no bookmaker juice) was 4/9 (1.44) By betting with the bookmaker (who offers 1/5th the odds) - you are getting ''evens'' for what should be 4/9 - but with one catch, you have to bet it in conjunction with the win! While you lose a bit of juice on the win part (higher odds 6/1 on the exchange) - it's more than compensated in the place term. Bookmakers call the ''bad Each Way'' bets

Win always? - You must be working from a private yacht :-) There is no such thing as 100%, always win, or easy strategy. It's work and true betting professionals keep things in context!

It came - it went! They have a small head to head offering on some top US races, but its a waste of time! To be honest, i have no idea why they re-introduced racing, it doesn't pass to the Pinnacle dynamic betting module!! What happens with these bookies is they wake up in the morning and think - ''lets add racing''. One month later its gone!

The biggest issue is reputation! Eastern Europeans tend to be marked down based on Betting patterns. For example: Many Russian bot operators work from Bulgaria because 3rd-party accounts cost less, and are easy to get! Since the socio-eco climate is lower (salaries) than that of Western Europe, Stakes are expected to be lower. In fact, it's on a par with some African countries, with one big difference - A much higher percentage of wise guys in Eastern Europe!! With all that said - If accounts cost less, it doesn't matter if you make lower sums (ROI) from each. At the end of the day, you have to work with the cards dealt, so I wouldn't put anyone off! If we take stock, Bulgaria wouldn't get near the top ten!

If your intention is becoming a long-term winner at betting - You won't be betting without an advantage. That means: Fixed odds only, or betting into big pools when receiving a massive rebate (volume players). If you are inexperienced/unprofitable at betting - stick with sports betting. Grab any value betting software, and simply bet the odds when the sportsbooks are wrong!
